Graphic Design

Our graphic design experience dates back to the early 1980's when Tim Lillethorup worked at the American Bicycle Association as a photographer and editor of two national publications. Along with those titles came the job of layout and design. These were the days of primitive linotype machines - printing out one column of type at a time, wax and paste-up boards, t-squares and shooting half-tone photos on a stat camera. The lessons learned about typography, page layout and image quality were in some ways more meaningful when each page was assembled by hand.

Later Tim worked in advertising at Galen & nellie Advertising which was THE advertising and design hot shop of Omaha, Nebraska in the 1980’s. The agency racked up hundreds of awards throughout a decade that ushered in desktop publishing, along with the introduction of Apple Macintosh systems. They were the first Omaha agency to use Macintosh systems for production.
